Who are we...
We are a registered charity run by a friendly group of Shelley school parents on a voluntary basis. Additional volunteers, including family members, staff and pupils, are also on hand to assist at some of our bigger events.
Recently, monies raised have purchased the following:
- Additional PE equipment, including high tech fitness trackers
- Year 6 leavers gifts
- House reward experiences
Current funds are being put towards:
- New junior library
- Infant library accessories
- Equipment for the new kitchen
- Christmas activities (e.g. santa visit)
What we do...
We organise and hold a variety of events for the children and/or parents to enjoy and in doing so raise valuable funds for the school. All funds raised go directly back into supporting the school and into the purchase of ‘extra’ items for the benefit of our children and their education.
PTA Committee members together with the interim headteacher, Andrew Jolley, decide how the monies raised should be spent.
The committee meet once a month to discuss ideas for new fundraising and to plan diarised events.
